Merino Wool is perfect for newborn babies. It is breathable which will keep your baby warm in the winter and cool in the summer, making sure they are the perfect temperature all year round.

Inspired by traditional designs, from the wonderful G H Hurt & Son. Made of super-fine merino wool, this beautiful and delicate design is knitted in a lovely ivory white. It is ideal for use as an elegant Christening shawl or special occasion blanket.

Each shawl is hand-finished with a scalloped edge, in the traditional Shetland way.

Care: 

All our shawls are washed using gentle products suitable for sensitive skin, so are ready for use straight away. Due to the nature of these traditional hand-finished products, knitted in fine quality yarns, please wash by hand in water not above 30°C in temperature and dry flat, away from direct sunlight. Scalloped edges will naturally relax after washing. This is normal and does not deter from the quality of the product. For a perfect finish simply pin out the scalloped edges, cover with a cloth and press with a cool iron.
